Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our Bernese Mountain Dog puppies — pricing, delivery, care, and the reservation process. Tap any question to expand its answer.
01.How much do your Bernese Mountain Dog puppies cost?
Our Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are $1,650 each. The puppy price is separate from any transportation or delivery costs that may apply depending on your location.
02.When can I take my puppy home?
Puppies go to their new homes when they are old enough and developmentally ready to leave their mother. We will let you know the puppy's expected go-home date and keep you updated as the date approaches.
03.Are your puppies vaccinated and dewormed?
Yes. Our puppies receive age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming before going to their new homes. Their available veterinary and health records will be provided to their new family.
04.Do the puppies come with health records?
Yes. Each puppy goes home with the applicable health and veterinary records, including information about vaccinations, deworming, and other care the puppy has received.
05.Do you offer delivery within the United States?
Yes, we offer delivery within the United States. Delivery and transportation fees are separate from the $1,650 puppy price. The delivery cost depends on your location and the transportation arrangements required. We will discuss the applicable fee with you before finalizing the delivery.
06.Do you offer halfway meetups?
Yes. A halfway meetup can be an option for families who prefer to meet rather than have the puppy delivered directly to their home.
Depending on the distance and location, we may cover transportation within an agreed-upon range. If the distance goes beyond that range, we can discuss the additional transportation expenses and reach a mutually agreed arrangement before the meetup.
07.Can I pick up my puppy in person?
Yes. In-person pickup may be available by appointment. We can coordinate the appropriate pickup arrangements once your puppy is ready to go home.
08.Can I choose a specific puppy?
Yes, depending on availability. Families may choose from the puppies currently available, and we can provide information about each puppy's personality, development, and characteristics to help you make your decision.
09.Are Bernese Mountain Dogs good family dogs?
Bernese Mountain Dogs are generally affectionate, loyal, gentle, and people-oriented. They can make wonderful family companions when provided with proper training, socialization, exercise, and care.
10.How big will my Bernese Mountain Dog get?
Bernese Mountain Dogs are a large breed, and their adult size can vary from one dog to another.
As a general guideline:
- Male: approximately 25–28 inches tall at the shoulder and around 80–115 pounds when fully grown.
- Female: approximately 23–26 inches tall at the shoulder and around 70–95 pounds when fully grown.
These are general ranges rather than guarantees. A puppy's eventual size can vary because of genetics, the size of the parents, sex, nutrition, overall health, and individual growth patterns. Some dogs may naturally fall outside these ranges.
Most Bernese Mountain Dogs reach most of their adult height during their first 12–18 months, but they can continue filling out and developing muscle as they mature.
11.Do Bernese Mountain Dogs require a lot of grooming?
Yes. Bernese Mountain Dogs have a thick double coat and shed regularly. We recommend consistent brushing to keep their coat clean and healthy and to help manage shedding and matting.
12.What should I feed my Bernese Mountain Dog puppy?
Puppies should receive a complete and balanced diet appropriate for their age and large-breed growth needs. We can let you know what your puppy has been eating before going home so you can maintain the same diet initially and make any changes gradually.
13.Will my puppy be socialized before going home?
We introduce our puppies to normal household experiences and age-appropriate handling and interaction. Early socialization is important, and we encourage new families to continue positive socialization and training after bringing their puppy home.
14.Do Bernese Mountain Dogs require a lot of exercise?
They need regular daily activity, but their exercise requirements should be appropriate for their age and development. Puppies especially should not be over-exercised while they are growing. As they mature, walks, playtime, training, and other appropriate activities can help keep them happy and healthy.
15.How do I reserve or purchase a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy?
The first step is to contact us about the puppy you're interested in. We can confirm availability, answer your questions, and explain the next steps for reserving your puppy.
